Maximillian Coleridge, known as Shroud, is a Marvel Comics vigilante. He first appeared in Super-Villain Team-Up #5 (December 1976), created by Steve Englehart and Herb Trimpe.
Coleridge was blinded as part of a ritual to gain control over a cult dedicated to a dark god. This blindness granted him the ability to control darkness and summon it.
Shroud operates primarily in the shadows, often acting as an information broker and manipulator. He's a skilled martial artist and strategist, using his powers to fight crime and corruption. Though often operating alone, he's been associated with other heroes like Moon Knight. Shroud has been portrayed as a “Hard Cape” hero within the Marvel Universe.
