Biography:

Benjamin "Ben" Grimm, also known as Thing, is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is a founding member of the Fantastic Four.

Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the character first appeared in The Fantastic Four #1 (November 1961).

Grimm gained his trademark orange, rock-like appearance and superhuman strength after being exposed to cosmic rays during an unauthorized space flight. He struggles with his monstrous form but uses his powers to protect the innocent and battle evil. The Thing is often seen as the heart and soul of the Fantastic Four.
