Biography:

Benjamin "Ben" Grimm, also known as Thing, is a prominent member of the Fantastic Four in Marvel Comics. His first appearance was in *Fantastic Four* #1 (November 1961).

Grimm was a skilled pilot and astronaut before being transformed into a rocky, orange-skinned humanoid. This transformation occurred after exposure to cosmic rays during an unauthorized space mission with his friends Reed Richards, Susan Storm, and Johnny Storm.

Despite his monstrous appearance, Ben retains his intelligence and a gruff but caring personality. His catchphrase is "It's clobberin' time!" He is the heart and soul of the Fantastic Four.
