Red Hood is a DC Comics anti-hero initially appearing as the second character to take up the mantle of Robin, Batman's sidekick. This version of the character first appeared in *Detective Comics* #575 (1987).
Years later, the character was killed by The Joker. He was later resurrected and returned to Gotham City, taking on the identity of the Red Hood, a criminal persona with violent methods. He often operates outside the law and clashes with Batman due to their differing moral codes.
