Biography:
Eobard Thawne, better known as the Reverse-Flash, is a prominent supervillain in the DC Comics universe, most notably a nemesis of the Flash (Barry Allen). Hailing from the 25th century, Thawne is a brilliant but psychologically unstable scientist who becomes obsessed with the Flash after discovering his heroic legacy.
Driven by admiration that warps into envy and hatred, Thawne recreates the accident that granted Barry his speed powers, effectively gaining access to the Speed Force. He then uses this power to travel back in time, determined to erase Barry Allen's existence and replace him as the Flash.
Over the years, Reverse-Flash has perpetrated countless atrocities, including the murder of Barry Allen's mother, Nora, forever altering the Flash's timeline and causing immense suffering. His intimate knowledge of the Speed Force and the Flash's past gives him a unique advantage, making him one of the Scarlet Speedster's most dangerous and personal adversaries. He is also known as Professor Zoom.
