Biography:

Hydra Captain America, also known as Steve Rogers, is a controversial version of the iconic Marvel Comics hero. This character debuted in Captain America: Steve Rogers #1 (May 2016).

In a shocking twist within the "Secret Empire" storyline, it was revealed that Rogers had been secretly working for Hydra his entire life. This was orchestrated by Kobik, a sentient Cosmic Cube, who altered reality to make Rogers a Hydra loyalist from childhood. Therefore the character is an alternate universe version of Steve Rogers who appears on Earth-61311.

This version of Captain America carried out Hydra's agenda, manipulating events and seizing control of the United States to establish a Hydra regime. This storyline was extremely divisive among fans due to the betrayal of a character seen as a symbol of American values and freedom.
