Bane, portrayed by Tom Hardy, is a primary antagonist in Christopher Nolan's 2012 film, The Dark Knight Rises, the final installment of The Dark Knight Trilogy. He is not the original portrayal of the character Bane, but is a re-imagining of the Batman villain.
Born and raised in the notorious prison known as "The Pit," Bane endured unimaginable hardship and pain.
