Jason Voorhees is the main antagonist of the Friday the 13th series of horror films. He first appeared (uncredited) as a young boy in a dream sequence in the original Friday the 13th (1980).
In the films, Jason is portrayed as a nearly unkillable, hulking figure who stalks and murders anyone who ventures near Camp Crystal Lake, the site of his supposed drowning as a child due to neglectful camp counselors. He is often recognized by his signature hockey mask, which he obtains in Friday the 13th Part III (1982), solidifying his image as "The Goalie."
Driven by the trauma of his death and the subsequent actions of those who dared to trespass, Jason embarks on a bloody vendetta.
