Biography:

James "Rhodey" Rhodes, better known as War Machine, is a key supporting character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Introduced in Iron Man (2008), though initially played by Terrence Howard, he's most prominently portrayed by Don Cheadle starting with Iron Man 2 (2010).

Rhodes begins as Tony Stark's close friend and liaison to the US Air Force. Witnessing Stark's transformation and commitment to justice, Rhodey eventually takes possession of a Stark-designed armored suit. Initially referred to as Iron Man Mark II and then War Machine, he uses it to assist Iron Man and fight threats both domestic and global.

As War Machine, Rhodey is a highly skilled combatant and pilot. His suit is heavily armed, designed for maximum firepower, distinguishing it from Iron Man's more versatile suits. He serves as a valued member of the Avengers, facing numerous threats, including Thanos. Though tragically injured in Captain America: Civil War, Rhodey perseveres, continuing his duties as War Machine and using technological enhancements to overcome his injuries.
