Iron Fist is a Marvel Comics character whose first appearance was in Marvel Premiere #15 (May 1974).
Danny Rand, trained in the mystical city of K'un-Lun, became the Iron Fist after defeating the dragon Shou-Lao the Undying and plunging his fists into its molten heart. This imbued him with the power to summon and focus his chi, enhancing his strength, speed, stamina, and reflexes.
He can also heal and, most famously, focus his chi into his fist, making it glow with immense power for devastating blows. Iron Fist frequently teams up with Luke Cage, forming the Heroes for Hire.
