Daniel Rand, known as Iron Fist, is a Marvel Comics superhero proficient in martial arts and wielding the mystical power of the Iron Fist.

As a child, Rand's parents were killed during an expedition to the mystical city of K'un-Lun. He was taken in by the city's inhabitants and trained in martial arts, eventually earning the right to challenge Shou-Lao the Undying, a dragon.

By defeating Shou-Lao, Rand plunged his fists into the dragon's molten heart, imbuing himself with the Iron Fist, granting him superhuman strength, speed, stamina, and the ability to focus his chi energy into his fist for powerful blows.

Returning to New York City, Rand used his skills and abilities to fight crime, often partnering with Luke Cage as part of the Heroes for Hire team. He is a skilled fighter and a defender of the innocent.
