Harley Quinn is a fictional character appearing in the DC Extended Universe. She first appeared in the film *Suicide Squad*.
Prior to her transformation, she was Dr. Harleen Quinzel, a psychiatrist at Arkham Asylum. She was assigned to treat the Joker, and during their sessions, she fell madly in love with him, ultimately becoming his accomplice and transforming into Harley Quinn.
In *Suicide Squad*, Harley Quinn is portrayed as a volatile and unpredictable member of Task Force X, a team of dangerous criminals assembled by Amanda Waller for covert missions.
