Harley Quinn, originally Dr. Harleen Quinzel, is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. She debuted in the Batman animated series in 1992 and was later integrated into the main DC Universe.

Dr. Quinzel was a psychiatrist at Arkham Asylum, where she became fascinated with the Joker, Gotham City's most notorious criminal.
