Biography:
Dr. Harleen Quinzel, later known as Harley Quinn, first appeared in the Batman: The Animated Series episode "Joker's Favor" (1992). She was originally a psychiatrist at Arkham Asylum, where she was assigned to treat the Joker.
Through repeated sessions, the Joker manipulated Quinzel, twisting her perception of reality and playing on her vulnerabilities. He convinced her that he was a victim of Batman's cruelty, ultimately leading her to fall in love with him. This obsession drove her to abandon her professional ethics and help the Joker escape.
Adopting the persona of Harley Quinn, she became the Joker's devoted accomplice and lover. Her costume and mannerisms, including a distinctive jester-like outfit and Brooklyn accent, quickly made her a memorable and popular character. She has appeared across numerous animated series, films and video games.
