Played by actor Dane DeHaan, this version of Harry Osborn is Peter Parker's childhood friend. He returns to New York City to take over Oscorp after his father, Norman Osborn, passes away. Learning that he has inherited his father's terminal illness, he seeks Spider-Man's blood, believing it can cure him.
After Spider-Man refuses to provide a blood transfusion, Harry injects himself with a serum created by Oscorp. The serum transforms him into a monstrous being with enhanced strength, agility, and a twisted appearance - thus becoming the Green Goblin. Motivated by revenge, he attacks Spider-Man and endangers the life of his love interest, Gwen Stacy.
