Edward Scissorhands, portrayed by Johnny Depp, is the titular character of Tim Burton's 1990 film of the same name. He is an artificial man created by an elderly inventor (Vincent Price) who unfortunately died before completing him, leaving Edward with scissor blades for hands.

Isolated in the inventor's mansion on a hill overlooking the idyllic suburban town of Suburbia, Edward is discovered by Peg Boggs (Dianne Wiest), an Avon lady, who takes him into her home. He is initially welcomed into the community due to his unique ability to sculpt hedges and cut hair.

However, Edward's differences and naive nature lead to misunderstandings and suspicion among the townsfolk. His inability to physically express himself without causing harm, coupled with the manipulative actions of those around him, results in him being ostracized and wrongly accused of various crimes.

Ultimately, Edward returns to his isolated mansion, where he continues to create ice sculptures, becoming a legend whispered among the residents of Suburbia.
