Biography:

Sméagol, later known as Gollum, is a character from J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle Earth legendarium, most notably featured in The Lord of the Rings. He first appeared as Gollum in The Hobbit.

Originally a Stoor Hobbit, Sméagol was corrupted by the One Ring, which he obtained after murdering his relative Déagol. This act and the Ring's power twisted his body and mind over centuries, leading to his transformation into the creature known as Gollum.

Driven by an insatiable desire for the Ring, Gollum stalked its bearers, particularly Bilbo Baggins and Frodo Baggins. His story is a tragic exploration of addiction and the corrupting influence of power.
