Biography:

Norman Osborn, portrayed by Willem Dafoe, is the Green Goblin in Sam Raimi's 2002 Spider-Man movie. A brilliant but unstable scientist and CEO of Oscorp, Osborn seeks to secure a military contract through performance-enhancing drugs.

His experimentation with the unstable 'X0328' formula grants him superhuman abilities but fractures his psyche, creating an alternate, homicidal personality: the Green Goblin. He dons a green armored suit and uses Goblin Glider and pumpkin bombs.

As the Green Goblin, he terrorizes New York City, targeting Spider-Man (Peter Parker). He represents a twisted reflection of Peter's potential and a dark consequence of unchecked ambition. His appearance in the film marked the character's first major cinematic portrayal.
