Waylon Jones, also known as Killer Croc, first appeared in Batman #357 in March 1983. Born with a rare genetic condition resembling epidermolytic hyperkeratosis, it caused his skin to gradually harden and become scale-like, resembling that of a crocodile.
Growing up ostracized and bullied due to his appearance, Jones developed a violent and antisocial personality. As his condition worsened, he eventually embraced his monstrous form and adopted the name Killer Croc, becoming a formidable criminal in Gotham City.
Killer Croc possesses superhuman strength, enhanced durability, and heightened senses. His reptilian physiology grants him the ability to survive in harsh environments and underwater, making him a dangerous adversary for Batman and other heroes.
