Blade, also known as the Daywalker, is a Marvel character who debuted in Tomb of Dracula #10 (July 1973).
Born Eric Brooks, Blade's mother was attacked by a vampire named Deacon Frost while pregnant. This resulted in Blade being born with unique abilities – he is immune to vampire bites, possesses enhanced strength and senses, and can walk in daylight, hence the moniker "Daywalker."
Driven by a thirst for vengeance against the creatures of the night, Blade dedicates his life to hunting and destroying vampires. He wields a variety of weapons, including swords and stakes, and is a skilled martial artist.
