Basename:
Batman
Brand:
Calypso Customs
Year:
2019
Theme:
DC
Biography:
Bruce Wayne, as Batman, debuted in Detective Comics #27 in 1939, making him a Golden Age character, not Silver Age. However, during the Silver Age of comics, Batman underwent significant changes.
As Batman, Bruce Wayne is a wealthy Gotham City philanthropist who witnessed the murder of his parents as a child. Driven by vengeance and a desire to protect others, he dedicated his life to fighting crime. He honed his physical and intellectual abilities to peak human condition, mastering martial arts, detective work, and various scientific disciplines.
This version of Batman, featured in Comic books, relied less on the campy elements that crept into the character in other media. He was portrayed as a serious, determined detective with a strong moral code, operating with advanced technology and a network of allies, including Robin, Batgirl, and Commissioner Gordon. The tone of the comics during this era shifted to a darker more serious approach, although some lighter-hearted stories still surfaced.
