Batman of Zur-En-Arrh
Basename:
Batman
Brand:
Kopf
Serial:
KF036
Year:
2016
Theme:
DC
Biography:
Batman of Zur-En-Arrh first appeared in Batman #113 (1958). He is an alternate personality of Bruce Wayne, created as a psychological backup in case of mental attack.
In this persona, Batman is more aggressive and unpredictable, less restrained by his usual moral code. He wears a brightly colored, mismatched costume—a stark contrast to his traditional dark attire. His symbol is crudely drawn in yellow on his chest. The Zur-En-Arrh persona is triggered by a specific phrase or mental cue.
The phrase "Zur-En-Arrh" itself originated as something said by Bruce's father Thomas Wayne - but that has been changed in modern interpretations. Often he is depicted as embodying Batman stripped down to his core essence, a primal force for justice with less focus on strategy or planning.
