Biography:
Batman, appearing first in Detective Comics #27 (May 1939), is a fictional character created by artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger. He is the alter ego of Bruce Wayne, a wealthy Gotham City socialite who witnessed the murder of his parents as a child.
Driven by a desire for vengeance and justice, Bruce Wayne dedicated his life to fighting crime. He honed his physical and intellectual abilities to peak human condition and crafted a bat-themed costume to strike fear into the hearts of criminals.
Operating primarily at night, Batman employed a variety of gadgets and vehicles, most notably the Batmobile, to combat crime. Unlike many other superheroes, Batman possesses no superhuman powers. His strength lies in his intellect, detective skills, martial arts prowess, and vast resources.
During the Golden Age of comics, Batman's stories tended to be less complex and more pulp-inspired than later iterations. He often carried a gun and was more willing to use lethal force. His rogues gallery also differed, with villains like Hugo Strange being more prominent.
