August Heart is the secret identity of Godspeed, a supervillain from DC Comics.
First appearing in *The Flash* Vol. 4 #1 (June 2016), Heart was initially a colleague of Barry Allen at the Central City Police Department. Both were struck by lightning from a Speed Force storm, granting them super-speed abilities.
Driven by a desire for justice after his brother's murder, Heart adopts the Godspeed persona. He believes that lethal force is necessary to stop criminals, putting him at odds with the Flash. Godspeed can siphon speed from other speedsters, increasing his own power.
