Godspeed, created by Joshua Williamson and Carmine Di Giandomenico, is a DC Comics character first appearing in *The Flash* Vol. 5 #1 (2016).
His real name is August Heart, a Central City police detective and Barry Allen's friend and colleague. August gained speedster abilities after being struck by lightning during a Speed Force storm.
Driven by a desire to solve his brother's murder, August embraces his powers but takes a more lethal approach than the Flash. He begins killing criminals, believing it's the only way to ensure justice. This puts him in direct conflict with Barry, who opposes his methods. Godspeed is characterized by his white suit with gold accents and his distinctive lightning bolts.
