Victor Fries, better known as Mr. Freeze, is a tragic villain from DC Comics. Originally appearing as Mr. Zero in Batman #121 (February 1959), he was later reimagined as Mr. Freeze with a more developed backstory.
The essence of Mr. Freeze lies in his desperate attempts to cure his terminally ill wife, Nora. An accident during his cryogenic research forces him to wear a special suit to survive in sub-zero temperatures. The suit gives him immense strength but limits his emotional capabilities.
Mr. Freeze has appeared in many forms including in The Lego Batman Movie. In these depictions he is a formidable villain, often employing freeze guns and other ice-based weaponry.
