Victor Fries, more widely known as Mr. Freeze, is a tragic villain in the DC Universe, most famously known for his portrayal in Batman: The Animated Series.

Fries, a brilliant cryogenics scientist, was driven to criminal activity in an attempt to save his terminally ill wife, Nora. While working on a method to freeze her until a cure could be found, an accident occurred, lowering his body temperature to sub-zero levels.

This accident forced him to wear a specialized cryogenic suit to survive, but it also stripped him of his emotions, leaving him cold and detached. He wields a freeze gun, using it to create chaos and fund his research to save Nora.
