Biography:

Baby Groot is a fictional character appearing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), specifically within the Guardians of the Galaxy films. He is essentially a sapling version of Groot, a Flora Colossus, and a member of the Guardians.

Following Groot's sacrifice in the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie, a seedling was recovered and replanted. This seedling grew into Baby Groot, who possesses the memories of Groot but has a vastly different personality, behaving more like a child.

Baby Groot's first appearance was in a post-credits scene of the Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) movie, dancing to music. He played a much larger role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) where he is a central part of the storyline.
