Raymond "Ray" Palmer, known as Atom, is a fictional character in the Arrowverse, portrayed by Brandon Routh. He first appeared in the TV Show Arrow, Season 3 Episode 4 "The Magician".
Ray is a brilliant scientist, inventor, and businessman who develops the A.T.O.M. Exosuit, a powerful suit of armor that grants him enhanced strength, flight, and energy projection capabilities. He initially intends to use the suit for good, but his actions sometimes have unintended consequences.
Later, Ray joins the Legends of Tomorrow, where he refines his shrinking technology, allowing him to shrink to subatomic sizes. He faces various historical and temporal anomalies alongside the team, developing close bonds with them.
