Ryan Choi is a DC Comics superhero known as the Atom. He is a successor to Ray Palmer, the original Atom. Choi, a brilliant young physics professor at Hong Kong University, had a keen interest in Palmer's work on miniaturization.
He was recruited by Ray Palmer himself, who sought Choi out to take on the mantle of the Atom. Choi discovered Palmer's shrinking technology and used it to become the new Atom, inheriting the ability to shrink to subatomic levels. He also possessed enhanced strength and durability relative to his shrunken size.
Choi's Atom was a member of the Justice League and a key figure in various DC storylines. His expertise in physics and his unique abilities made him a valuable asset in combating threats. Tragically, Ryan Choi was killed during the Brightest Day event.
Despite his death, Ryan Choi's legacy as a hero continues to be recognized. He has appeared in animated series and is remembered as a brilliant scientist and courageous hero who embraced the legacy of the Atom.
