Biography:

Victor Fries, better known as Mr. Freeze, is a tragic villain in Batman: The Animated Series. Once a brilliant cryogenics scientist, Fries dedicated his life to curing his terminally ill wife, Nora. He placed her in suspended animation until a cure could be found.

During a lab accident caused by his greedy CEO, Fries was exposed to cryogenic chemicals. This permanently lowered his body temperature, forcing him to wear a specialized suit to survive outside of sub-zero environments. The accident also warped his personality, making him cold and calculating.

Driven by his love for Nora and fueled by a burning desire for revenge against those who wronged him, Fries turned to a life of crime. He uses his cryonic technology to freeze his enemies and steal resources to continue his research and keep Nora preserved. Despite his villainous acts, Mr. Freeze is portrayed as a sympathetic character, often highlighting the lengths one will go to for love and the corrupting influence of tragedy.
