Dr. Curtis Connors is a brilliant but tragic figure in the Marvel Universe, primarily associated with Spider-Man. A gifted surgeon, Connors lost his right arm in military service.
Obsessed with limb regeneration, he dedicated his life to researching reptilian biology, believing he could unlock the secrets to regrowing lost limbs in humans.
Connors developed a serum using reptile DNA, and, against his better judgement, tested it on himself. While the serum did restore his arm, it also transformed him into the Lizard, a savage, reptilian humanoid with immense strength and a primal desire to turn humanity into lizards.
Throughout his appearances, Connors battles his Lizard persona, often seeking a cure while also struggling with the allure of the Lizard's power. He is a recurring threat to Spider-Man, representing the dangers of unchecked ambition and the struggle with inner demons.
