Howzer is a clone trooper officer who served in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars and later in the early years of the Galactic Empire. He's distinguished by his loyalty, initially to the Republic, and later to his clone brothers, even when it conflicted with Imperial orders.
Originally serving under Jedi General Anakin Skywalker, Howzer demonstrated competence and dedication. Following Order 66, he initially served the newly formed Empire, stationed on Ryloth under the command of Admiral Rampart.
On Ryloth, Howzer became increasingly disillusioned with the Empire's brutal methods and the suffering inflicted on the Twi'lek people. Witnessing the Empire's disregard for civilian lives, Howzer's loyalty shifted from the Imperial regime to his clone brothers, particularly Hunter and the Bad Batch, and a growing sense of moral obligation to protect the innocent.
Ultimately, Howzer chose to betray the Empire, alerting the Twi'leks to an impending attack and surrendering to them.
