The Clone Trooper, in his Phase 2 armor, represents the evolution of the Republic's military force during the Prequel era of Star Wars. These soldiers were integral to the Grand Army of the Republic in its fight against the Separatist forces during the Clone Wars.
Phase 2 armor, a refinement over the initial Phase 1 design, offered enhanced protection and incorporated improved communication systems. This advanced armor was standard issue by the time of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.
