Adrian Toomes, portrayed by Michael Keaton, is the Vulture in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He first appeared in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017).
Toomes operated a salvage company contracted to clean up after the Battle of New York. When Damage Control, a joint venture between Tony Stark and the U.S. government, took over, Toomes lost his livelihood and became embittered.
Toomes and his crew secretly salvaged Chitauri and Dark Elf technology, using it to build advanced weaponry, including the Vulture exosuit. He sold these weapons on the black market, becoming a dangerous criminal.
His activities brought him into conflict with Spider-Man. Notably, Toomes is Liz Allan's father, adding a personal dimension to his antagonism with Peter Parker.
