Biography:
Mr. Freeze, a villain from the classic Batman TV series, is best known for his elaborate ice-themed crimes. His first appearance was in Batman TV Series episode 121 - "Instant Freeze" in 1966.
Originally named Dr. Art Schivel, later Dr. Otto Schivel, he used a special suit to survive in sub-zero temperatures, a necessity due to an accident involving cryogenic experiments. He is obsessed with cold and uses freeze rays and other ice-based technology in his schemes.
Played by multiple actors during the show's run, including George Sanders and Eli Wallach, Mr. Freeze became one of Batman's most recognizable foes, thanks to the campy but memorable portrayal of his chilling persona.
