Ghost Panther is a Marvel Comics character, a unique fusion of two established superhero identities: Ghost Rider and Black Panther. He exists as a Spirit of Vengeance bonded to a member of the Wakandan royal family.
There have been two prominent iterations of Ghost Panther. The first, created by Geoffrey Thorne and Khary Randolph, appeared in the "King in Black: Black Panther" one-shot. In this version, a past Black Panther king is chosen to wield the Spirit of Vengeance to defend Wakanda against Knull's symbiote invasion.
A more recurring Ghost Panther is T'Challa, the primary Black Panther. In an alternate reality depicted in "What If... Miles Morales," T'Challa is imbued with the Spirit of Vengeance after the death of his uncle. This version retains T'Challa's strategic brilliance and martial prowess while wielding hellfire and a mystical chain, seeking vengeance for the wronged.
Both incarnations share the core characteristics of heightened strength, durability, and the ability to inflict hellfire. Ghost Panther is a powerful, albeit less frequent, presence in the Marvel multiverse, embodying a potent combination of ancestral tradition and vengeful justice.
