Thor, as portrayed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), is a central figure in the Avengers team and one of the most powerful beings in the cosmos.
Born to Odin, the Allfather, and Frigga, Thor is the crown prince of Asgard, a realm connected to Earth (Midgard) and other worlds via the Bifrost. In Avengers: Infinity War, following the destruction of Asgard and the near-total annihilation of his people by Thanos, Thor is driven by a quest for vengeance and determined to stop the Mad Titan. He forges Stormbreaker with the help of Eitri and Rocket Raccoon, hoping to use it to kill Thanos.
