Ultraman Tiga is the central character of the eponymous Tokusatsu TV show, Ultraman Tiga, which first aired in 1996.
He is a unique Ultraman in the franchise, as he is not originally from the Land of Light. Instead, Tiga is an ancient Ultraman who existed 30 million years ago and sealed himself away in a pyramid.
During the events of the series, Daigo Madoka, a member of the global defense organization GUTS (Global Unlimited Task Squad), merges with Tiga's dormant form to become the giant of light and defend Earth from monsters. Tiga has the ability to switch between three primary forms: Multi Type (balanced), Power Type (strength-based), and Sky Type (speed-based).
Ultraman Tiga's popularity led to numerous appearances in subsequent Ultraman media, solidifying his status as one of the most recognizable and beloved Ultraman heroes.
