Ultraman Tiga is a fictional superhero from the Japanese tokusatsu series Ultraman Tiga, which premiered in 1996. He is a giant of light who protects Earth from monsters and alien threats.
Unlike previous Ultramen who originated from the Land of Light, Ultraman Tiga is an ancient Ultraman who existed 30 million years prior to the events of the series. He was once a dark giant, but chose the path of light.
The character is unique for being able to change between three forms: Multi Type (balanced), Power Type (strength-focused), and Sky Type (speed-focused). His human host is Daigo Madoka, a member of the GUTS (Global Unlimited Task Squad) team. Daigo transforms into Ultraman Tiga using the Spark Lens.
