The character is ultimately revealed to be a version of Deadpool, a mercenary known for his skill and wisecracking attitude, twisted and altered by the Weapon Plus program. He is portrayed by Ryan Reynolds, with Scott Adkins performing the fight choreography.
This iteration of Deadpool is significantly different from his comic book counterpart. Weapon-XI is essentially a mute killing machine, enhanced with a variety of mutant powers, including Cyclops' optic blasts, Wraith's teleportation ability, and Wolverine's healing factor and adamantium claws. His mouth is sewn shut, preventing him from speaking.
