Foolkiller is the name of multiple vigilantes in the Marvel Universe, all sharing a twisted interpretation of justice. Greg Salinger, the original, debuted in Man-Thing #3 (1973). He believes himself to be divinely ordained to eliminate "fools" – a subjective label applied to anyone he deems morally deficient.
Driven by a warped sense of righteousness, Salinger initially employed a specialized "fool-killing gun" which emits energy that incinerates its target. His methods are brutal and uncompromising, placing him squarely on the wrong side of the law.
Later versions of Foolkiller, while varying in background and personality, maintained the same core mission: to eradicate perceived foolishness from the world. One later version worked alongside Deadpool in the group Mercs for Money, further cementing the character's place as a complex and morally ambiguous figure within the Marvel landscape.
