Deadpool, in the guise of "Back in Black", is a version of the Marvel character known for his fourth-wall breaking tendencies and eccentric behavior. While not explicitly from a movie or TV show, this iteration closely resembles the Deadpool fans know and love from those media.
This version of Deadpool retains the core characteristics of Wade Wilson, a mercenary with a healing factor gained through the Weapon X program. He is still prone to humor, often inappropriate, and exhibits awareness of his fictional nature.
Like many of the comic book variants, this Deadpool is a highly skilled combatant, proficient in various weapons and martial arts. His origin remains tied to the same backstory of cancer treatment gone wrong, leaving him disfigured but nearly immortal.
Deadpool first appeared in The New Mutants #98 (Feb. 1991).
