Biography:
Deadpool, whose real name is Wade Winston Wilson, is a mercenary and anti-hero appearing in Marvel Comics. Created by writer Fabian Nicieza and artist/writer Rob Liefeld, he first appeared in The New Mutants #98 (February 1991).
Wilson, after being diagnosed with terminal cancer, volunteered for the Weapon X program, which granted him a healing factor derived from Wolverine. While this saved his life, it also left him severely scarred and mentally unstable.
Deadpool is known for his unconventional personality, including his constant talking, breaking the fourth wall, and dark, often inappropriate, humor. He wields various weapons, including katanas and firearms, and is a highly skilled martial artist and assassin.
