Nightwing, formerly known as Robin, is a prominent DC Comics character. He began as Dick Grayson, an orphaned acrobat who was taken in by Bruce Wayne and trained to be Batman's sidekick.

Dick Grayson's first appearance as Robin was in Detective Comics #38 (April 1940). After growing older and more independent, Dick moved out of Batman's shadow to forge his own identity.

He adopted the Nightwing persona, representing his maturity and desire to operate as a hero separate from Batman. As Nightwing, he fights crime in Blüdhaven, possessing exceptional acrobatic skills and martial arts expertise.
