The Bombastic Bag-Man is an alternate version of Spider-Man from Marvel Comics. He made his first appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man #258 in 1985.
Created when Spider-Man needed a spare costume after the Fantastic Four helped him remove an alien symbiote (which would later become Venom), he was left without his usual suit. Johnny Storm, the Human Torch, provided him with a spare Fantastic Four uniform.
Since the costume didn't conceal his face, Spider-Man borrowed a paper bag from a nearby store and drew eyes on it, creating the Bombastic Bag-Man persona. He is essentially Spider-Man in a Fantastic Four suit with a paper bag on his head.
