Buzz Lightyear is a fictional character in the *Toy Story* franchise.

He first appeared in the *Toy Story* movie as a Space Ranger action figure.

Buzz believes he is a real Space Ranger, not a toy, and is initially on a mission to return to his home planet. He is known for his catchphrases, including "To infinity... and beyond!"
