Valkyrie, as portrayed by Tessa Thompson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), is a prominent character who first appeared in Thor: Ragnarok (2017).
In the MCU, Valkyrie, also known as Brunnhilde, is the sole survivor of the Valkyrior, an elite group of Asgardian warrior women who were slaughtered by Hela. Burdened by survivor's guilt, she exiled herself to Sakaar and became a scavenger, known as Scrapper 142.
She eventually joins forces with Thor to defeat Hela and reclaim Asgard. Following the Blip, she becomes the ruler of New Asgard on Earth.
