Biography:
Valkyrie, also known as Brunnhilde, is a skilled Asgardian warrior in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She is introduced in Thor: Ragnarok as a scavenger on Sakaar, haunted by a past battle against Hela where she was the only Valkyrie to survive.
Initially hardened and cynical, Valkyrie is recruited by Thor to help liberate Asgard. Her combat prowess, combined with her flying steed Aragorn, makes her a formidable opponent. After Asgard's destruction, she becomes a refugee on Earth alongside Thor.
In Avengers: Endgame, Valkyrie aids the Avengers in their fight against Thanos. Following the battle, Thor abdicates the throne of New Asgard to her, recognizing her leadership abilities. She is then officially known as the King of New Asgard.
She is portrayed by Tessa Thompson.
