Biography:
King Valkyrie, portrayed by Tessa Thompson, is a character within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). She first appeared in the film *Thor: Ragnarok* (2017) as a hardened Asgardian warrior.
Initially a scavenger on Sakaar, Valkyrie, whose Asgardian name is Brunnhilde, fought alongside Thor during the events of *Thor: Ragnarok* to defeat Hela and save what remained of Asgard.
Following the destruction of Asgard, Valkyrie helped the surviving Asgardians establish a new home in Norway, named New Asgard. In *Thor: Love and Thunder*, she is officially crowned King of New Asgard by Thor, taking on the responsibilities of leadership and protecting her people.
